As you study 2 Corinthians chapters 8 & 9, some clear principles on New Testament giving emerge. New Testament giving is:

1. motivated by the Gospel of Jesus Christ

​

2. done willingly, cheerfully, readily, intentionally, according to your means at times, and beyond your means at times

​

3. not done under compulsion or under a burdensome command

​

4. an active extension of the Grace of God

 

5. and finally, produces thanksgiving to God

​
